Carl Punla, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician and the medical director of Neighborhood Urgent Care. With offices in Whippany and Saddle Brook, New Jersey, Dr. Punla and his dedicated team provide compassionate health care so you and your loved ones can achieve excellent health and wellness.
Dr. Punla obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Kean University before pursuing his medical education at Our Lady of Fatima University College of Medicine. He then received special training through his family practice residency at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In addition, he completed medical internships at Temple University and the Montgomery Hospital Medical Center.
During his professional life, Dr. Punla has worked in several areas of healthcare, including inpatient and outpatient settings as well as urgent care centers. He has been delivering patient-centered health services for almost 20 years, and continues to strive for the best outcomes in all of his patients.
